Paranormal activities get such attention because they are so unbelievable but all of them seemed so true. Alien stories, ghosts and cryptids are always attention grabbers when featured in the media. Cryptids are one of the many paranormal activities that have puzzled the minds of great men. If you have hunted for ghosts, attempted to contact your spirit guides, there are people too who have spent their lives searching for these unknown creatures.

Perhaps you have watched the documentary of the Loch Ness monster Discovery Channel or the mysteries of the Big Foot. Big sums of money were invested to unearth evidences but still to no avail. In contrast, there are people who earned a living by featuring cryptids. You can find the Yeti in J.K. Rowling’s  record-breaking book series and more recently about werewolves in Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight. Apart from these two, here are additional cryptics you should know about:

The Loch Ness Monster. Sightings of this famous lake monster  have attracted worldwide attention over the years. Nessie as it is more affectionately called is a 20-foot long sea serpent that resides in the fresh water lake in Scotland. Some people say that it has horns, which relates it directly to primitive whales. But without a decaying body to study or a single photograph, Nessie will remain a favorite subject of cartoons, movies and interesting discussions.

The Bigfoot. Known to roam the territories of Oregon, Washington and Alaska, these big creatures have remained a great mystery for years now. Cryptozoologist believe them to be descendants of the Neanderthal with their eight-foot height, furry body and enormous feet. Some report to have sighted them in family groups making a sort of calls, but none if it were confirmed.

Werewolves. These mythical beasts are highly respected by the Native Americans. In fact, plenty of legends and tales surround the mysteries of these human evolving wolves that can only be killed by silver.  Although they are more popular to be mythical creatures, the cryptozoologists still don’t exclude them as paranormal events. Although the human to beast transformations makes it a candidate for a hoax, they justify it with alien characteristics.  It may sound crazy, but others theorize them to be alien experiments on humans. And, there is also another one that says, werewolves are in fact, the Bigfoot themselves.

The Yeti. They are the Himalayan version of the Bigfoot. Instead of black or brown fury hair, you can classify the Yeti as Caucasian with its all-white shaggy fur. It is slightly smaller though at 6 feet but they too have appeared as early as the 19th century

The Chupacabra. These red-eyed cryptids are known to suck the blood of goats, hence they are called goat suckers. The most common sightings were found in Puerto Rico, but there are also rare incidents around the Americas, Russia and even in the Philippines. Apart from its blazing red eyes, the chupacabra also has a mouth full of deadly fangs.

These creatures will forever remain as paranormal events unless cryptozoologists find evidence that prove their existence. In the meantime, the world will enjoy hearing about the amazing tales and legends that surround these paranormal events.
