Spirit Guides: Do You have a Reason to Believe Them

If you are a Catholic, perhaps mummy taught you to pray to a guardian angel to watch over you while you sleep. If you are Chinese, perhaps you have burned incense to please the house gods. Regardless of your cultural orientation, there would really be some sort of angel, demon, nature spirits and whatnot to live within your midst. Many people worship spirit guides in the hopes to get favor from them. Yes, most of them are viewed as guardians while there are also those who are sent to stir up confusion among men.

But what really are spirit guides? Why do many people fervently believe in them that they spend too much each year just to gain favor in their eyes? Why do people bother to even communicate with them at all when in fact, a man’s fate lies in their hands? Take a look at a brief exploration of the “The Other Side”.

Spirit guides were here as early as the time of Jesus. Even Jesus himself is considered to be an ascended master in the point of view of spiritualist. Ascended masters usually work for the benefit of humanity. These beings have led physical lives, such as Buddha and Krishna, who have been enlightened. Saints who have also experienced enlightenment can also be classified as ascended masters.

However, not all spirit guides were once humans. They can be energies, cosmic realms or those who have lived former lives and are about to incarnate in due time. Even animals are viewed as spirit guides. Although they are more of a companion, some people attest the presence of their pet’s soul especially during the first days of their death. Native Americans are firm believers of spirit guides. You can find plenty of fables and tales and how they have aided the lives of their believers.

Then again, spirit guides won’t be of use to you, unless you have opened your perception to them. There plenty of ways to communicate with spirit guides. One of them is through clairvoyance, meditation, dream time, visualization and the like. Meditation opens up your chakra. This way you can readily communicate or channel with your spirit guide.

Communicating with spirit guides is not for the faint of heart. Try to think about the number 1 for two minutes. If you can block away other thoughts like “Oh, I forgot to turn off the lights” at first try, that would be impressive. But as chains of thought interrupts our mind, deep meditation can be a hard thing to come by. But don’t worry; you can take spirit guide classes that will teach you how to channel your thoughts properly.

Finally, you have to have a lot of patience, perseverance and practice to be able to make contact with your spirit guide. Yes, it is a lot of work, but the rewards are amazing. Where can you get guidance, advice and warnings for free? Still doubtful? Take the time to try it and believe.

Spirit Guides and How They Can Help You Out

People have tried to communicate with spirit guides throughout the ages. Ancient Egyptians have performed complicated rituals on a daily basis just to please their deities. Their belief in the spirit and afterlife is deeply rooted that monuments that testify to these beliefs still attracts millions of people each year.

The Chinese communicate with their deities through spirit writing while the Japanese finds every way possible to be in harmony with nature. Spirit guides can take many forms. They could be enlightened human beings such as Buddha, reveled animals such as wolves and horses by the Native Americans or just stones, creatures or simply as energies.

But why do people are so keen to have a good connection with spirit guides? Do they really exist or just a part of human’s endless imagination? Many have doubted spirit guides for years. However, take the time to have a look at the benefits of having a spirit guide than none at all.

Spirit guides are mediators. Yes, they are able to aid or hinder man’s effort for a better life, career and overall wellness. But, that will only happen if you open your thoughts to them and really ‘allowed’ them to do something for you. Some spirit guides have lived as humans. This is the very reason why they are sympathetic over human undertakings. They want humans to have good health, good relationships ad be successful in life as this also rebounds in their future incarnate. It’s like, if they helped you out, they will have a better incarnate in the future.

Meditation also means they can send in people to affect your lives. Guides also interact with each other and since they can benefit from good results in men’s lives, they kind of set up everything for the good of all. Have you experienced being penniless and you go around asking everyone in the office to give you a $20, even begged your parents for it, but they can’t do nothing at all? Then all of a sudden you run into an old, old friend back in grade school and suddenly he treats you to lunch, gives money for your kid because you have been too kind to teach him assignments back then? People sometimes attribute such events to coincidences. But if you have a good connection with your spirit guide, to be able to find unlikely people when you are in trouble is their own way to help you out.

They can send you warnings. Not all of us can work with our subconscious minds. But with an open chakra and a spirit guide actively guiding our lives, it can send us warnings through dreams, insights and sometimes gut feeling. Spirit guides also facilitate learning. In every trial or success, they keep people spiritually awake, meaning you have to be aware of the lessons you can derive from those experiences. Learning the lessons first hand can make your life so much easier the next time the same situation comes around.

So try your best to open up your mind to ensure you get help from your spirit guide. Learn how to meditate, appreciate dreams, listen to your gut feeling and they will help you in each and every way they can.

Spirit Guide 101: How to Meditate Effectively

Meditation is one way to get away from the stress of everyday life, overcome depression and of course, get connected with our spirit guides. However, meditation is not as simple as being in the traditional cross-legged position and breathing in and out. Meditation is a serious business but again with good rewards. Whether you are taking that to get away from the hustles and bustles of life or to get acquainted with your higher being, here are some basic steps to say Namaste to a better life:

Set a routine. Treat meditation as a spur of the moment and you’ll get into none of your goals. It takes time, practice and a proper schedule for you to have an effective meditation. Carefully plot your sessions each day for 20-30 minutes preferably in the morning. You can gradually increase these sessions once you get better and better at it.

Pick up a solitary place. You don’t have to travel to faraway forests to be able to set your mind free. Any place is a good meditation spot as long as it is quiet enough to get you concentrating. You can be sitting on a chair, on your backyard, on the porch with no loud TV’s, mobile phones that might ring any moment or buses that can cut your concentration into pieces.

Choose a good position. The lotus position is the most ideal way to meditate. However, first-timers rarely make it through without suffering a strained knee and lower back. Try to have flexibility exercises to prepare for this stance. For your first sessions, try to sit on a pillow for a more relaxed and comfortable position. You don’t have to be on a lotus right ahead but make sure to straighten your back to avoid dozing off during the process.

Be calm. One way to concentrate is not to get stiff. Try to relax and care about nothing else but your breathing or your mantra. Adjust your posture from time to time to get better alignment, but try to limit your movement. Also relax your face muscles as this too can get stiff over time.

Focus. Block away your thoughts by focusing on your breathing or your chosen mantra. Try to count 1-10 while you breathe. Mantras can be anything from the “aum” word or something like “I want to see my spirit guide”. You can even practice meditating with your mantra while doing daily chores. Some people like to meditate while washing up, doing the ironing or even slight more “out there” things like going through their daily hair removal routine! In fact, I came across these no no hair removal reviews in which the reviewers both talk about how they find their tedious beauty tasks to be much more enjoyable if they meditate at the same time! Don’t be too conscious of your time either. Even if you have set aside 20 minutes, going over your scheduled time is much better. Another way to concentrate is by imagining the calmest places you want to be. It could be on a faraway beach, in the meadow and even in the outer space!

Finally, remember to meditate with an empty stomach. Studies show that digestion interferes with the positive effects of meditation and you will more likely fall asleep if you meditate right after lunch. So, remember to be at the same place at the same time, relax in your chosen position, concentrate the best way you can and no food please. Happy meditating!
